Miguel A. Cruz is a multidisciplinary international business professional. For more than thirty years Miguel has been developing vast international business acumen. Miguel’s professional development in Veterinary Medicine and Zoo Technique allowed him to become the youngest international epidemiologist with a bi-national program (US and Mexico) working in Mexico and Central America. Miguel became the youngest epidemiologist working for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization program in Rome, Italy, and Tripoli, Libya. Additionally, Miguel’s expertise has given him the opportunity to work in the US, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and other Latin American countries.

Due to his professional development and in-depth knowledge of multicultural markets, Miguel became part of the executive team at Tucson Federal Credit Union where he is leading the visual branding, strategic marketing, and community engagement as its Vice President of Brand and Community Impact.

Miguel is recognized as an expert in developing the synergy to merge culturally competent business and community strategies. His unique personality and dynamism create enticing and engaging presentations as a featured speaker for many organizations and companies. His dynamism and eagerness to learn have given him the opportunity to cross borders professionally, culturally, and linguistically. He is fully bicultural (English and Spanish) with functional skills in Portuguese and Italian.

Miguel’s passion for community service has been spread throughout diverse community-based organizations. For more than 25 years, Miguel has served as a board member in many organizations in Tucson and Phoenix. He became a Big Brother in 2020 and currently serves as a Board of Trustees for the Women’s Foundation of the State of Arizona, Board Member for Tu Nidito Children’s Services, Old Pueblo Community Services, Advisory Board for S.I.R.O.W., Marketing Committee Member for Integrative Touch (formerly ITK), Past President of the Board for American Advertising Federation Tucson Chapter, and past President of the Board for Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation.
