Kathrin LaFaver, MD, FAAN, is a neurologist in Saratoga Springs, NY. After her residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, she completed a movement disorder fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and a research fellowship at the NIH. She then joined University of Louisville in KY as Assistant Professor of Neurology and held the position of Raymond Lee Lebby Chair for Parkinson's disease for six years before joining Northwestern University as Associate Professor in 2019. In 2021, she joined Saratoga Hospital Medical Group in NY as staff neurologist. In addition to her expertise in neurology and movement disorders, Dr. LaFaver is certified by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She enjoys a daily yoga practice and feels passionate about the power of lifestyle medicine to optimize health for herself and her patients. She is also an advocate for women in neurology and is co-founder of the Women Neurologists Group, a network with over 4,000 members, and has served on the American Academy of Neurology task force for gender disparity.
