"Leslie Fontenot is an award-winning communications and marketing executive with 20+ years of corporate and agency experience. Fontenot is presently the managing director for Black Health Matters (BHM), a 10-year-old, woman owned, integrated media and communications company dedicated to improving health outcomes in the African American community.
Fontenot oversees operations and marketing strategies across BHM's digital and social platforms and working with prominent pharmaceutical, health care practitioners and biotech companies to help create authentic and impactful connections with the BIPOC communities. She leads efforts to inspire and educate around health, wellness and chronic illness through the company's forums and virtual summits.
Fontenot honed her expertise as a corporate and agency brand marketer working with Fortune 1000 companies across multiple product categories including health, hospitality, beauty, consumer package goods and financial services. Fontenot is known for her keen insight and attention to detail, making her a go-to market lead in managing cross-cultural campaigns.
A graduate of Boston University's School of Communications, Fontenot lives in Atlanta, Georgia, enjoys tennis and biking and is the proud mother of two young adults and honored to serve as a member of the Psi Omega Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc."
